Over the last six years, Buckinghamshire-based firms received £30m of innovation funding from the UK Government, via Innovate UK, and £9m of innovation funding, via the Horizon 2020 programme. 60% of Innovate UK funding coming into Buckinghamshire was awarded to small and medium-sized firms. The bulk of this funding has been used to undertake innovation in the manufacturing, materials and mobility sector.
