We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a UK leading manufacturer of products within the consumer goods sector based near Cambridge:

The role:
  • As Business Development Manager you will be assembling and executing a strong strategic sales plan to help maximise the growth of the business working with one key retailer
  • There is the potential to lead a small team and be the strategic lead for the account
  • Managing the preparation and delivery of customer presentations
  • Monitoring budgets related to all sales activity, including producing full profit and loss statements for each key account
  • Working closely with customers and internal Product Managers to oversee the NPD process and maximise on growth opportunities
  • Solving any customer quality issues efficiently, communicating with both the internal team and customer to ensure all expectations are met 
About you:
  • It is essential that you have a demonstrated successful track record of managing multiple major UK grocery channels
  • Previous business development experience within private-label consumer goods
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and 'push-back' when expectations are not fulfilled
  • Team management skills are a huge advantage.
  • Commercially astute and able to identify new growth opportunities
The package:
  • To £50,000 depending on experience, plus performance related bonus

This Business Development Manager role based in Cambridgeshire would suit candidates with previous experience in a Sales Manager/Business Development role within the FMCG/consumer goods sector. You could be partly home-based so candidates from areas including Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge, Northampton, Nottingham, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Ipswich, Coventry would be considered.
