The role:
  • Reporting directly into the Business Development Director you'll be instrumental in leading commercial projects
  • Managing relationships with existing key clients
  • Taking ownership of the sales cycle from generating interest, providing demos, closing deals and delivering projects to clients
  • You will nurture and grow relationships with new and existing accounts within FMCG and food manufacturing
  • Accurately reporting on sales activity and customer feedback to inform the company of any key successes and challenges
  • Acting as a spokesperson for the company, you'll demonstrate genuine passion for the product offering
About you:
  • At least five years experience in a sales or commercial role within FMCG, food ingredients/flavours or within a consultancy dealing with food/drinks clients
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree within Chemistry or Biochemistry from a top university
  • Proven track record of winning and nurturing customer accounts, including leading food manufacturers and FMCG companies
  • Experience within a scientific consultancy working with major food and drinks clients would be highly desirable
  • Keen interest in environmental sustainability and healthy lifestyle choices

This Commercial Manager is an office-based 2-3 days per week in Cambridge and the successful candidate is likely to be based in Cambridge, Bedford, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bury St Edmunds, Luton or Stevenage.
